A02 - WCB WorkSafe - Joint Health & Safety Committee 1 day
An overview of the WCB regulations specifically applicable to the logging industry, including the responsibilities of safety, accident investigations, safety inspections and an insight into legal and moral responsibilities.

A03 - Transportation of Dangerous Goods for forest worker supervisors - 2 hrs
A review of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods requirements for products specifically handled by the logging industry. This course is for supervisors and owners to ensure they are familiar with the legal requirements of TDG.

A04 - Fire Management & Suppression (modified S-100) - 1 day
Classroom and practical field application ensures workers are familiar with forest fire prevention and suppression. Annual Training Review Requirements: materials and checklists are available to employers to meet WCB requirements for annual review.

A05 - WCB Level 1 First Aid and Transportation Endorsement - 2 days
Covers stabilizing an injured person, bleeding control, CPR, and attending to conscious and unconscious choking victims. The second day covers the skills and knowledge needed to move and transport injured workers to medical aid.

A09 - WHMIS for forest workers - 1 hr
Reviews the requirements of the federal Hazardous Products Act and how to respond to hazardous materials. Ensures workers are aware of the components of the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and how it applies to their workplace.

A10 - Environmental Awareness
Workers will be able to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, minimize impact on the environment, ensure due diligence regarding legal requirements, ensure accountability for harvesting activities and maintain consistency with industry standards.

A11 - First Aid for Loggers - 3 days
Successful participants will be able to create and activate an emergency plan, implement first aid procedures, make transportation decisions, extricate and transport patients. The third day of the course includes a field based helicopter exercise.

A12 - Wildlife Awareness - 3 hrs
An introduction to regionally specific wildlife hazards familiarizing workers with the hazards and precautions to take in relation to wildlife.

A13 - ATV Safety Training - 1 day
This course will assist workers to maintain a high level of ATV safety expertise on the job, as well as meet the demands of the new WCB regulatory requirements and technology within the forest industry. The one day session has a half day in the classroom complemented by a half day of practical demonstration in the field.

A14 - Snowmobile Safety Training - 1 day
A half day of classroom training complemented by a half day of practical demonstration in the field, will provide workers with training allowing them to maintain a high level of safety with respect to the use of snowmobiles on the job.
